Driving from Liberia’s airport, take the highway southwest towards Filadelfia. (Leaving the access road, you would turn right.) You will pass through the towns of Filadelfia and Belen; eventually, you will see signs to Playa Junquillal just before entering Santa Cruz. Turn right just before crossing the metal bridge into Santa Cruz; if you reach a stoplight you’ve gone too far. Continue towards Junquillal; after about 15km turn left at 27 de abril. There are signs for junquillal at the intersection. Then take the first right turn, at the entrance to the Nandamojo Valley.

If you are coming in from San José, take the Puente de La Amistad (Friendship Bridge) route, via Ruta #27- Puntarenas. About 20minutes past the bridge, you will como to a “T” crossing; turn right towards Nicoya and Santa Cruz. The main intersection in Santa Cruz has a stoplight, followed by a small bridge. Take the first left after the bridge, towards Junquillal. Continue and after 15km you need to turn left at 27 de abril. There are signs for Junquillal at the intersection. Then take the first right turn, at the entrance to the Nandamojo Valley.
